I came across a survey few days back, which said that the average age of an entrepreneur in India is 27. But, if there is an entrepreneur inside you, you know that the ninja kicks out much earlier. The entrepreneur starts young and early, and so did Chennapa Naidu Darapaneni. Born in the historic town of Udayagiri, into a farmer’s family Mr. Naidu turned out to be the first entrepreneur of his family. Inquisitiveness and high-energy were the two wheels, that he rode on, while his instinct was his navigator. The first job he took was for a small company which made water level indicators for tanks, in 1993. He was not only working behind the scenes soldering the equipment but also involved himself in delivering and installing the apparatus. It’s amusing to note that he represented it in an exhibition as well, with absolutely no knowledge of Hindi at that time and pulled it off well! He chose to be the face of his product. Don’t Do That – Entrepreneur II

Here we go, with the second in the series. The response for the first article from many was – “ been there, done that” . Hence, I hope this one reaches you before you rush to the venue and commit the next couple of favorite mistakes – of Entrepreneurs. Without further ado - Partnership – sharing and caring, is it? So you have this friend who absolutely believes in your idea, and is ready to walk the mile with you. You become so overwhelmed, you get down on your knees and you say – “take my arm and a leg, and team it with 50% of my company, be my partner”. Friends, gratitude is a good attitude but keep it outside the business. Partnership in business is not always a good idea. If you really need someone to be a part of your project, make the person your first employee. And if the contribution of your friend is really prominent then make sure that the 50-50 rule does not get played. Even if it’s with your best friend, equal onus is not really practical....

We all are stardust.

We all are part of this cosmos. We are made of stardust. And that’s not a romantic imagination, nor chicken soup for the soul. There is hard science behind it, physics to be more precise. So in our own way, we all are little stars and we shine in our own light. Some of us shine brighter, some others radiate better. But we do, what is characteristic to us. And it is important that we do shine our own best. And if in your shine and light, someone can mend their torn shoe, fix their broken tools, read a poem, write a love letter or sew some torn clothes and wounds ¬ - You are validated a star. So never stop inspiring. Never stop shining. But this shine hurts those, who have got used to living in the dark. It hurts their eyes, to see you shine so bright. It becomes unbearable to them and they want you doused. Let’s also be real, and know that black-holes are made of stardust too. If you wander anywhere closer to a black-hole, and fall in their gravitational field, they will pull ...
